Smile Blue Ridge accepts all insurance plans, as long as your plan allows you to visit dentists out of network. We are not in-network with insurance companies, so you’ll want to double-check that your plan will let you see out of network providers and will pay costs associated with those visits.
We are a fee-for-service provider. This means our patients pay up front for services, and we will submit insurance claims to your carrier on your behalf. The insurance company will then reimburse you for the costs they cover on the procedures received. While we don’t know exactly how much that will be, our dedicated team works closely with insurance providers to get breakdowns of benefits and provide estimates that are as close as we can get.
Sometimes our fees are higher than what your insurance carrier will pay. Every dental plan has different stipulations, and even within insurance companies the benefits can vary between employers and plans. Because of these variations it is always best for our patients to understand their plan details as much as possible. We understand that insurance companies make their plans confusing, and are dedicated to doing all we can to make sure you understand all the fees and reimbursements prior to any dental work being performed.
Don’t hesitate to ask questions about financial concerns. If you have limited coverage and/or limitations on budget it is helpful for us to know up front so we can work with you to prioritize your care and stay on budget and within coverage limits. We also offer financing options should that be desired.
